Why Hazael Matters in the Replacement Theology Debate in the Bible

Is Replacement Theology In The Bible alters our view of Scriptures?

The above represents an ivory carving of King Hazael of Syria. Aram was the original name in the Bible, before they changed it to Syria. That fact is supported by multiple translations including the Cepher and the Geneva Bibles. More on that later.

Aram was a constant adversary of Israel during the times of the Israelite kings.

How did Aram become Syria-A product of Replacement Theology In The Bible

But it also adds dimension to uncovering the lies told over centuries about origins, race, and ethnicity.

Modern Syria inherits its name from the Ottoman Syria Vilayet (province), established in 1865. The choice of the ancient Latin name for the Ottoman province reflects a growing historical consciousness among the local intellectuals at the time.

Many Muslims and some Arabic-speaking Christians describe themselves as Arabs, while many Aramaic-speaking Christians and a minority of Muslims prefer to describe themselves as Syriacs or Arameans. Also, some people from Syria, mainly Syrian nationalists, describe themselves only as Syrians or ethnic Syrians.

This is saying that at the time of the Ottoman Empire, the name Aram was changed to Syria. Obviously, at that time, the racial profile had changed.

The Arameans, who were Semites (Shem), were displaced by the Turks, Arabs, Syriac Christians, and other non-Arameans who are of the race of Japheth.

The Bible revisionist solidifies this replacement. In the King James concordance, the number designation H758 represents Aram, the original people it referenced. It appears only in the books of Genesis to Numbers. Otherwise, afterwards, it only appears as Syria. Same thing in the Strong’s and others.

Who Was Hazael King of Syria?-Replacement Theology In The Bible

Here is a fun fact: this man was recorded 25 times in the Bible. He was a contemporary of the prophet Elisha. His reign began around 843 B.C., and he is known for warring against Jehoram of Israel and Ahaziah, king of Judah, and later for attacking Jerusalem during Joash’s reign.

He was apparently a general or captain in the Aramean army. We first met him in the Bible (2Ki 8:8). There, Ben-Hadad, his predecessor, sent him to inquire of the prophet Elisha because Ben-Hadad was ill and wanted to know whether he should recover from his sickness or not.

When Hazael met Elisha, he was told that GOD had confirmed to him that Ben-Hadad would die; nevertheless, Hazael should tell him that he would live.

The next day, Hazael returned to Damascus, and he promptly smothered Ben-Hadad with a towel and reigned in his stead.

Why Modern Race Terms Can Distort the Bible-Replacement Theology In The Bible

So we have seen that the man represented in the above statue is a black man. Or was it? Unlike modern race architecture like Black or White race, Black and white race is considered a social construct because it is a human-invented classification system based on superficial physical traits (like skin color) rather than distinct, meaningful biological or genetic realities.

These categories were historically created to rationalize slavery and justify power inequalities.

The Black race nonsense was mostly parroted by Black Americans who somehow think it is a badge of honor.

The Bible speaks of a hereditary structure, father to sons over many generations. This aligns with YDNA haplogroups science.

I have a video called “Israelitish in Lev 24 10 means Mixed Marriage Israelite”. I discussed here that the “ish” at the end of Israel is showing that they are actual genetic Israelites and are not mixed with no other race.

Was king Hazael Of Syria, White or Black?

In the Bible, Israel is considered a race. For example: Exo_1:9 And he said to his nation, Behold, the race of the sons of Israel are a great multitude, and they are strong above us. Here Pharaoh is talking to his race of people, the Egyptians, about the abundant growth of the Israelite population threatening them.

It is noteworthy to note the Egyptians were the same phenotype, with dark complexion, kinky hair, full lips, etc. This was the case with the Aram as well. Therefore, king Hazael was not even a black man. He was an Aramean. They have dark skin, kinky hair, full lips, etc. They are negroid people. Not black. Just as Israel is a negroid people, not Black!

Replacement Theology In The Bible and how it shapes todays reality

Final Thoughts on Replacement Theology in the Bible

One of the questions I get when discussing this topic is this: if the Aramean people had negro features, dark complexion, kinky hair, etc., then the question is why are they sparse in numbers in the general Middle East area now? Some Bible prophecy explains it.

Gen 9:26 -27 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem, and Canaan will be his domestic servant.May God widen to Japheth, and let him dwell in the tents of Shem, and let Canaan become their servant.

“May GOD widen to Japhet” indicates that in the future GOD would enlarge Japheth’s footprint to include Shem’s domain. This is exactly what we see today. Except for a small remnant of Israel, Japhet (the white races) had supplanted Shem in their habitation of the current Middle East reality.

Although that speaks to the general Semitic population, other prophecies take into account the main Semitic grouping of Israel: Eze_12:15 And they shall know that I am YAHWEH when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the earth.

It is not a coincidence that today, when we think of Was king Hazael Of Syria, they think of a White person. The false reality was not a coincidence. Over two thousand years ago, the Jewish people replaced the people of GOD with themselves.
