Edom not the White man but all unsaved people

Edom is not the White man but all unsaved people of the world are. Many in the so-called black community think Esau is the Whiteman. This may have come from the influence of the Hebrew Israelite community. Bible scholars approach the Bible as they would any man-made book. But we know of Esau through the Bible. Therefore, any investigation of his identity must come through the Biblical text and nowhere else. The bible says the following of Esau:

Mal_1:3 And Esau I detested, and I ordered up his borders for extinction, and his inheritance for domiciles of the wilderness.

This is the language of judgment. Apart from the flood of Noah’s days, there is only one other time that GOD reserves mankind for mass annihilation. It is noticeably clear here that GOD is reserving judgment for a part of mankind whom HE typifies as Esau/Edom. HE hates Esau and has destined his future existence as extinction.

According to the Bible, Edom is not the white man but mingled among all The unsaved people

The language of (Rev 13:16) is that of the last days. Because we read the following.

Rev_13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Here we have references to beasts. but the ultimate entity is Satan. He causes all of mankind to receive his mark. They all determinately belong to him. But we notice how everyone is covered: both small and great, rich, and poor, free and bond.

Let us back up a little to point out something that you may have missed. Let us compare Rev_13:14 between the KJV version and that of a Septuagint translation.

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (King James Bible)

This serves to deceive you by saying Satan deceives the World in general. But the Septuagint translation says the opposite.

Rev_13:14 And he misleads the ones of mine, of the ones dwelling upon the earth, by the signs which were given to him to do before the beast, saying to the ones dwelling upon the earth to make an image to the beast which had the wound of the sword, and lived. (Septuagint)

You would have missed the fact that GOD said Satan even mislead “HIS people”. Who exactly is GOD’s people? HIS people are the people of Israel whom HE secured a covenant. GOD oversees all Israel, both the good, bad, and indifferent. Israel are collectively called Children of the kingdom. Of course, the bad ones will have judgment levied against them as we read.

Mat_8:11-12 And I say to you, that many from east and west shall come, and shall be lain down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness; there, there shall be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

Of course, those coming from the east and the west can only be the good ones of the children of the kingdom. Not Christians and Gentiles. Therefore, Satan will cause all, including some of the children of the kingdom to have the mark of the beast. Now we have clarity that Satan deceived all mankind including the people of Israel. Small, great, rich, poor, free, and bond.

But will there be slaves on judgment day?

Yes, there will be those considered slaves on Judgment day. Let us backtrack to Rev_13:16. Where we encountered the term “bond”. receiving a mark in their right hand, or their foreheads: These people determinately belong to Satan. But the term in this context can only refer to the people of Israel. Let us get more clarity from the Thayer dictionary.

Thayer Definition:
1) a slave, bondman, man of servile condition
1a) a slave
1b) metaphorically, one who gives himself up to another’s will those whose service is used by Christ in extending and advancing his cause among men
1c) devoted to another to the disregard of one’s own interests
2) a servant, attendant

Therefore to the people of Israel, you are slaves whether you agree or not. You live in subservience to your master the Gentiles. The LORD GOD of Israel considers you as slaves in this world. For this reason, HE should say the following:

Isa_14:3 And it will be in that day the LORD will rest you from the grief, and your rage, and your hard slavery of which you slaved for them.
Eze_34:27 And the trees, the ones in the plain will yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her strength. And they shall dwell upon their land in a hope of peace. And they shall know that I am the LORD in my breaking the chain of their yoke; and I will rescue them from out of the hand of the ones reducing them to slavery.

Israel is removed from chattel slavery but their condition remains unchanged

Let us check out some statics concerning Israel scattered in the USA.

This reminds me of a famous negro. He once said the enslavement of African Americans over centuries may have been a "choice". and further suggested our enslavement or captivity is mental, He is a liar because the Bible states otherwise:

Jer_30:10 But you, do not fear! O my servant Jacob, says the LORD. And in no way should you be terrified, O Israel. For behold, I shall deliver you from a land far off, and your seed from a land of their captivity. And Jacob shall be returned, and he shall rest, and he shall abound in all the good things, and there shall not be one fearing.

If one is not in captivity, then there would be no need of rescued. Therefore Israel is in captivity until judgment day when GOD will rescue them.

Why was he named Esau by his mother?

From GOD’s perspective Edom is not the White man but typified by all unsaved people, including those of Israel HIS people. Let us visit the man Esau and his origins. This may reveal to us why GOD uses his behavior and nature to typify the entire unsaved humanity. He was first mentioned in Gen 25:25.

Gen_25:25 And came forth the first-born fiery red entirely, and of hairy skin. And she named his name Esau

It is apparent here that Rebecca named Esau after his rough and hairy disposition.

hairy H8181 = from H8175 in the sense of dishevelling; hair (as if tossed or bristling): - hair (-y), X rough.

The first word “Hairy” suggests something disheveling that feels rough to the touch or untidy look or coarse handling. Also wild and untamed.

The second word H6215 means hairy.

BDB Definition: Esau (H6215) =hairy
Apparently, a form of the passive participle of H6213 in the original sense of handling; rough (that is, sensibly felt); Esav, a son of Isaac, including his posterity: - Esau.H6215

Why has Esau renamed Edom?

Esau was naturally an outdoor man. He returned from a hunting trip famished.

Gen_25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Let me taste from this spicy stew for I fail; on account of this his name was called Edom.
Gen_25:31 And Jacob said to Esau, Give to me today your rights as first-born.
Gen_25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
Gen_25:33 And Jacob said to him, You swear by an oath to me today! And he swore by an oath to him. And Esau gave the rights of the first-born to Jacob.
Gen_25:34 And Jacob gave to Esau bread and stew of lentils. And he ate and drank, and rising up he set out. And Esau treated as worthless the rights of the first-born.

Esau was renamed Edom because of his readiness to sell his birthright for the pottage of beans. The Bible describes Israel as Sons of the Kingdom. But these people prefer the mere pittance of this life to the eternal kingdom of GOD.

Esau would be familiar with the covenant GOD made with his grandfather Abraham. Which would pass down to him as the firstborn from his father Isaac. Consequently he would be familiar with GOD’s established salvation plan through CHRIST. His line would have been the beneficiary of CHRIST's salvation program. To possess the divine birthright and be part of this chosen seed was the greatest blessing anyone could imagine. Yet the Bible says of Esau:

Heb_12:16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person as Esau, who for one portion of food delivered over his rights of the first-born.

Thayer Definition: profane person (G952)
2a) unhallowed, common,
2b) of men, ungodly

Therefore, Esau is an ungodly man. The contemporary of all unsaved people.

The spirit of Edom manifested in all today’s unsaved people not the White man only

The spirit of Esau is expressed in contemporary men. Some like to give the appearance of piety but will deny the power of GOD. Consequently, they care about earthly things: Pleasure, money, and themselves. They care not for the things of GOD. Salvation is useless to them. They live for today. They are demonic. Never get it twisted—we are in the last days! The character of man makes that evident.

2 Tim 3:1-5 But this know! that in the last days ill-tempered times will be present; for men will be fond of themselves, fond of money, ostentatious, proud, blasphemous, resisting the persuasion of parents, ungracious, unholy, unaffectionate, hostile, devilish, immoderate, untamed, disliking good, betrayers, precipitous, being deluded, friends of pleasure rather than friends of God; having the appearance of piety, but denying its power. Even these turn away from!
Php_3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

But they are beast-like and care nothing about spiritual things. They only mind earthly things, and their GOD is their bellies. Consequently, the theory of evolution holds sway over mankind today.

Job_21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
Job_21:13 And they complete their existence with good things, and in the rest of Hades they go to sleep.

Therefore they live well in this present world; therefore, their existence ends in the grave. They will not exist into eternity.

Edom represents a place, the whole world of unsaved people and not White man only

For those enquiring about Edom, they make a serious error. They assume that Esau the person can be used interchangeably with Edom. Hence, they say Esau or Edom is the white man. The original Esau evolved into a nation –Edom--a place. This was not a light matter because GOD devoted an entire chapter (Gen 36:1-43) to enforce the point.

GOD makes the connection of Esau a person to Edom a place.

Gen_36:1 And these are the generations of Esau -- he is Edom.

The chapter relates that Esau took Canaanite/Hamite wives (other reasons he was estranged from his parents). His possessions became massive that the land could not accommodate him and his brother Jacob. He moved from the land of Canaan to mount Seir. Here GOD reminds the reader that Mount Seir is a place that represents Edom.

Gen_36:8 And Esau dwelt in the mountain of Seir. Esau, he is Edom.

In verse 9 GOD relates the generations of Esau and makes the connection to Edom the place.

Gen 36:9 And these are the generations of Esau, father of Edom in the mountain of Seir.
Gen 36:17 And these were the sons of Reuel, son of Esau -- prince Nahath, prince Zerah, prince Shammah, prince Mizzah. These were the princes of Reuel in the land of Edom. These were the sons of Bashemath, wife of Esau.
Gen 36:19 These were the sons of Esau. And these were their princes. These are sons of Edom.

Therefore, all of this is Edom. Therefore, Esau is the father/originator of the place Edom.

Gen 36:43 prince Magdiel, prince Zaphoi. These are the princes of Edom, in the buildings in the land of their property. This is Esau, father of Edom.

Esau the man is transformed into the place called Edom. He who chose this life rather than the kingdom of GOD

Identifying Edom as only a nation and not a person

One can argue that so far GOD does not explicitly state that Edom is not the White man as many people would like to think. But there are places in the Bible where GOD categorically states that Edom is the entire unsaved world. For example.

Eze_36:5 On account of this, thus says the Lord the LORD; Assuredly by fire of my rage I spoke against the remaining nations, and against all Edom; for they gave my land to themselves for a possession with gladness, dishonoring lives, to obliterate in plunder.

except for the ransomed of Israel, the entire unsaved world is Edom. Also, If these Hebrew Israelites want to think that Edom is the White man, then we must assume that the Chinese and Indians, etc. are not Edom. That belief would render all these people safe from judgment. But the Bible says that all Edom (the unsaved world) will be judged and annihilated.

Eze_35:15 As you were glad in the inheritance of the house of Israel, that it was obliterated, thus I shall do you. For you will be a wilderness, O mount Seir, and all Edom shall be completely consumed. And you shall know that I am the LORD God.

Edom’s judgment-the language of judgment day

The Bible declare that the unsaved man is typified in Edom. His distruction is sure.

Oba_1:10 Because of the slaughter and the impiety against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be removed into the eon. Seir, and all Edom shall be completely consumed. And you shall know that I am the LORD God.
Eze_35:9 I will establish you an eternal desolation, and your cities no way shall be inhabited any longer. And you shall know that I am the LORD.
