Is God Racist? Bible Verses on Israel God’s Chosen People
People ask “Is GOD a racist?” It is important for us to understand that this term and similar ones discriminatory, prejudiced, bigoted, intolerant, bias and xenophobic are man-made labels. But they all challenges GODs will, choices, commands, and covenants. But God also rejects human challenges to His will. Dan 4:35 And all the ones inhabiting the earth are considered as nothing; and according to his will he does among the force of the of heaven, and among the one dwelling the earth. And there is not one who shall act against his hand, and says to him, What did you do?.
Israel in Scripture Means a People, Not Land
It is very important also to note that Israel is presented in the Bible as a people not a mere territory. I challenge the world to point out to me from the Bible, where Israel is a country and not a people. God speaks to Moses using family language, not geography. Exo_3:10 “And now, come, I shall send you to Pharaoh king of Egypt. And you shall lead my people the sons of Israel from out of the land of Egypt”. that was many decaded before they actually landed in Canaan.
In 70AD the Romans expelled the last remaining Israelites from Judea the Roman province. this is a geographical entity, not to be confused with the tribe of Judah, a tribe of Israel. The Jews (A different ethnic group ) living in Judea when the Israelites fled, assumed their identity.
Now contrast that with the modern state of Israel. It was inaugurated on May 14, 1948 byDavid Ben-Gurion, who became the first Prime Minister. It became offficial when the USA immediately recognised it. They displaced and murdured millions of people who were living there.
It is widely touted as the “first Jewish state in 2,000 years” That claim poses some great contridiction. it only takes one prophecy to prove that these are not the people GOD is referering to. Speaking of the people of Israel, GOD made the following promise:
Eze 39:28-29 And they shall know that I am the LORD their God in my appearing to them among the nations, in my gathering them upon their land. And I shall not abandon them any more — not one there. And I shall not turn my face any longer from them, because I poured out my rage upon the house of Israel, says the Lord the LORD.
As of 2025–2026, approximately 7.1 to 7.2 million Jews live in Israel, representing about 45–46% of the estimated 15.3–15.8 million Jews worldwide.
Therefore JESUS would have already come and moved the JEWS to the land called Israel. But 99.999% of the world is unaware. More importantly, i am writing this post today 3/17/2026 and in the midst of the Iran/USA-Israel war, these people are fleeing Israel my the millions. How does that argue for gathering them together?
Is GOD a racist? Israel defined as a race in the Bible
If someone claims, “Is God racist,” they usually mean God favors a distinct people. Scripture uses race language for Israel in direct terms.
most people todaybelieve in race they define as white pr black people. That is not how the Bible define race. The Bible dinsciny call Israel a race. These verses frame Israel as a hereditary people. Israel is decended from a man named Jacob, whom GOD renamed Israel. That aligns with father-to-son descent language across Scripture. It also align with YDNA haplogroup science whish we will not discuss at this timeBut listen to pharoah king of Egypt speaking to his people the Egyptians: Exo_1:9 And he said to his nation, Behold, the race of the sons of Israel are a great multitude, and they are strong above us.
This is definately a dinstinction of race. It is not a black and white thing because the Egyptians were same negroid type of as the Israelites
****Is GOD a racist?HE Soverignly chose Israel
Deu 7:6 For you are a holy people to the LORD your God. And the LORD your God preferred you to be to him a prized people from all the nations, as many as are upon the face of the earth.
Deu 7:7 Not because you were more numerous than all the nations did the LORD prefer you, and chose you; for you are ones very few of all the nations.
Deu 7:8 But because the LORD loved you, and to observe the oath which he swore to your fathers, the LORD led you by a fortified hand and with a high arm; and he ransomed you from out of a house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
All mankind faces death through sin. Paul states the problem plainly. Rom 5:12 GOD expand on this theme: “On account of this as if through one man the sin entered into the world, and through the sin — death; and thus to all men death went through, because by which reason all sinned”. This one man sin is Adam as discussed in the book of Genesis
So the real question becomes: who receives repentance and release? The New Testament ties that gift to Israel in specific language. Act_5:31 states that JESUS death on the cross wrought salvation to Israel. Never mentions anyone else “This one — God, chief and deliverer, exalted by his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and release of sins”
This claim forces the debate into the text itself.
