The Infallible Word of GOD

GOD Word is Infallible. The page of the Bible declares the Word of the Living God.

2Timothy 3:16–17 Every scripture is God inspired, and beneficial for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction-- the one in righteousness; that the man of God should be complete for accomplishing every good work.

Two theological terms are used to explain the nature of the Bible. They are inerrancy and infallibility. Both point out the significant difference between the Bible and all other books written by a man. Many use these terms interchangeably. But infallibility means incapable of making a mistake, while inerrancy means the absence of any error.

Infallibility has the idea of being trustworthy, while inerrancy goes further and says that the Scriptures contain no errors whatsoever. The Author of the Bible obviously cannot declare anything that is contrary to fact. Therefore, to confess that the Word of God is infallible, we declare that the Scriptures are incapable of teaching any errors or inaccuracies. By implication, the Scripture is perfect.

But this argument should be conditional on whether we are talking about the original Word of GOD. That one penned by the original prophets through whom GOD spoke these Words.

2 Peter 1:20-21 20 This first knowing that every prophecy of scripture does not take place by private explanation. For not by will of man was prophecy borne at some time or other, but by holy spirit being borne the holy men of God spoke.

These are only the Words we can vouch for. The process of biblical composition, compilation, and canonization involved humans. They are incorrigibly prone to error, deceit, and manipulation. It is a fact that there are various translations. But they come from out of the minds(interpretation) of men who are at best ignorant, and at worse deceitful.

1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Therefore, perceived errors and inaccuracies are a result of man’s flawed understanding or unbelief. But the Word of GOD stands on the original manuscripts penned by the prophets and scribes of GOD.

We can determine which documents are the original documents through a process of Textual Criticism. But more on that later.

The Bible is for the people of Israel. It is GOD’s infallible Word to them

It is common through the ages for man to use the text of the Bible in other religions. Including Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. GOD created the Bible for the people of Israel. Obviously, they have a common Genealogical ancestry and relationship. This would be a race.

Sometimes in the past, GOD cut a covenant of Salvation between HIMSELF and their forefathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Bible describes their sojourn over many centuries. Israel moved into Egypt as a family of seventy individuals. But were later enslaved there. Four hundred years later, GOD led them out with a great Salvation. To their 40 years of wandering into the wilderness where GOD prepared them for nationhood by giving them statutes and laws. Eventually, they entered Canaan (Promised land).

They became a kingdom under Saul, David, and Solomon, who built the Temple in Jerusalem. They later split into two separate kingdoms. The Northern kingdom Israel and the Southern kingdom of Judah. The Northern Kingdom was eventually dispersed under the Assyrians. Later, the Southern Kingdom went into captivity into Babylon but was returned to Judah, seventy years later. Then their MESSIAH came during the early part of the first century and HE died on the Cross for their sins.

Act_5:31 This one -- God, chief and deliverer, exalted by his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and release of sins.

But hear the Apostle Stephen retraced the history of Israel in (Act 7:1 -54). Then during the year 70AD, the Romans destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem and scattered the rest of them.

The Completion of the Covenant is eminent

Many in religion will agree that we are in the end-time of which the MESSIAH spoke of HIS return in judgment. Therefore, the Salvation of the people of Israel is imminent.

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
